MINUTES OF THE MEETING

169-2007 Parishioners time:
No Parishioners wished to speak. The Chairman opened the meeting at 7.30pm.
170-2007 Declarations of Interest:
None.
171-2007 Emergency Plan:
The Chairman proposed to take this item first as Cllr Hill was not able to attend the meeting until later and should be included in the discussion on the Blackdown Garage site.
Cllr Roe had prepared an initial draft of an emergency plan and reported on this and the possible types of emergency that could occur.
Cllr Roe to contact commercial enterprises in the parish looking for support and put a flyer in the Community Newsletter. All areas of the village would be covered by a council member.
Cllr Roe requested two volunteers to assist with collating information Cllr Robins, Street & Anning expressed an interest in assisting. A map showing house names will be required.
Clerk to enquire whether the Parish Council insurance would cover members helping in the event of an emergency?
Agenda for next meeting view map and agree boundaries to members covering them.
Cllr Hill joined the meeting at 8.10pm.
172-2007 Blackdown Garage Site The planning application received for the Blackdown Garage
Site was discussed. Councillors had major concerns over many points of the development and these will be forwarded to the DNPA. It was agreed to place a piece in the Community News to explain why the Parish Council was objecting to this current application.
At this point the
Chairman asked if there were any members of the public present that they leave
as the rest of the meeting would be held in closed session under Section 1(2)
of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960
173-2007 Community News Any decisions made in closed session will be ratified at the next full
meeting of the Parish Council.
174-2007 Cemetery Matters Any decisions made in closed session will be ratified at the next full
meeting of the Parish Council.
There being no further business the meeting was formally closed by the Chair at 9.50pm.
